I’ve considered myself an athlete since I was in elementary school, doing two a day swim practices and traveling around the Pacific Northwest every other weekend to compete in swim meets. In high school, I was part of the varsity cross country and track team, swim team, water polo team, and basketball team. Sports and physical fitness have always been a core part of my identity.

I have dabbled in many different modes of training and activities to stay active: swimming, long distance running, spinning, kickboxing, HIIT, obstacle course training, GORUCK endurance event, pilates, yoga. And while I still enjoy some of these activities, it wasn’t until I started CrossFit in 2013 that I found an activity that renewed that athletic mentality and passion for physical fitness. 

As a coach, I want to help people realize their own innate athleticisim. What I love about CrossFit is that the movements we do, while athletic in nature, have real world applicability. I want to help people move in such a way that it will make real life tasks more manageable.
